Tonic X is a new dining concept that brings together multiple experiences in one venue.
Darling Visual Communications was assigned to create Tonic X’s brand identity system which includes brand logo, menus, coasters, brochure, poster, envelope and namecard. Drawing inspiration from Hong Kong street signs which often carry intriguing tales that reflect the rich history and culture, we created symbols, signs and letterings that articulate a live-wired language of the modern dining experience. Our approach aims to combine a clean look with modern sensuality to appeal Tonic X’s sophisticated urban customers.
The new identity aims at shifting the perception of a dining venue and bring a sense of inclusivity and community.
Custom typography and graphics are inspired by the flickering, almost phantasmagoric lettering of neon signs.
